Afghan Prisoner Secretly Executed in Bandar Abbas Prison

The death sentence of an Afghan prisoner named Gulab Shah Nurzehi, who had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out secretly in Bandar Abbas Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, the death sentence of Gulab Shah Norzehi, a 43-year-old from Farah Province, Afghanistan, was carried out in the central prison of Bandar Abbas.

Informed sources have stated that the death sentence of this Afghan prisoner was carried out without informing his family and in a clandestine manner.

It is worth mentioning that Gulab Shah Nurzehi was arrested five years ago and sentenced to death by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Bandar Abbas for drug-related charges.

To date, the news of this prisoner's execution had not been announced in the Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
