University of Tehran: Yekta Mirzaei Temporarily Suspended from Continuing Education

Yekta Mirzaei, a student at the University of Tehran, has been sentenced to a two-semester suspension from her studies by the university's disciplinary committee for not adhering to the mandatory hijab rules.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Yekta Mirzaei, a Sociology student at the University of Tehran, was recently sentenced to a temporary suspension from her studies by the university's disciplinary committee.

This student, in a post on her X account, stated that she has been sentenced to suspension from studies due to not observing the mandatory hijab, failing to adhere to students' codes of conduct, and insulting national and Islamic symbols and values.

It is noteworthy that one semester of this suspension is enforceable, while the other semester is stated to be suspended.
