Death Sentences of Three Prisoners Carried Out in Shiraz Central Prison

The death sentences of three prisoners named Javad Amiri, Naghi Ghorbani, and Reza Rostami were executed in Shiraz Central Prison. These prisoners were previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, August 3, 2026, Javad Amiri, 35, and Naqi Ghorbani, 40, both from Bandar Abbas and Reza Rostami, 32, from Shiraz, were executed in the central prison of Shiraz.

Three years ago, Javad Amiri and Naghi Ghorbani were arrested and sentenced to death in a joint case for drug-related charges.

Also, Reza Rostami was arrested on similar charges about four years ago and then sentenced to death by the Iranian Judiciary. 

To date, the news of the execution of these prisoners has not been announced in the Iranian state media, especially the media affiliated with the judiciary.
