According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Tuesday, August 6, 2024, security agents arrested Maisam Basir Tavana at his workplace and took him to the Prosecutor's office.

After being taken to the Fuman City Prosecutor's Office, Maisam Basir Tavana was arrested by the forces of the Intelligence Department of Gilan Province and subsequently transferred to prison.
