Security forces arrest a Kurdish man in Baneh

Reza Ahmadpour, a Kurdish resident of Baneh, was arrested by security forces. No information regarding his whereabouts has been made available.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ahmadpour, who resides in the village of Bardarash near Baneh, was arrested by plainclothes officers at a gas station on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. 

Witnesses report that the officers did not present an arrest warrant at the time of his arrest, and he has since been taken to an undisclosed location.

As of this report, no information has been provided regarding the reasons for Ahmadpour’s detention, any charges against him, or his whereabouts.
