Number of executions in Khorramabad Central Prison increases

The death sentence of a Lor prisoner, identified as Rashid Zeinabi from Borujerd, Lorestan Province, previously convicted of "premeditated murder," was carried out at Khorramabad Central Prison (Parsilon Prison). Hengaw had earlier reported the execution of another prisoner at the same facility. 

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Thursday, January 16, 2025, Rashid Zeinabi, 36 years old, a father of one, was executed at Khorramabad Central Prison. 

Zeinabi had been arrested earlier on charges of "premeditated murder" and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of Islamic Republic of Iran. 

Hengaw had previously reported the execution of another prisoner, identified as Saman Davoudian, a 33-year-old Kurdish resident of Khorramabad, who was also convicted of "premeditated murder" and executed on the same day. 

As of the time of this report, news of these executions has not been announced by official government media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
