Abdolvahab Pirouti, a 25-year-old Kurdish man from Mahabad, was arrested by Islamic Republic of Iran security forces in the city. five days after his detention, no information is available regarding his whereabouts.

According to a report received by Hengaw, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, Abdolvahab Pirouti was arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department in Mahabad while at his fabric shop. He was arrested without the presentation of an arrest warrant, and his mobile phone was confiscated.

Despite five  days passing since his arrest and continuous inquiries by his family, no precise details regarding his fate or place of detention have been disclosed. Security and judicial authorities have provided no clear response to the family’s efforts.
