Two Kurds arrested by Security Forces in Shahin Dezh

In recent days, two Kurds from Shahin Dezh (Sain Qela), identified as Younes Rahmani and Esmail Bahrami, have been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an unknown location.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Esmail Bahrami, a cleric from the village of Qozlou in the Shahin Dezh district, was arrested by security forces. The arrest involved the use of excessive force and beatings before he was transferred to an unknown location.
Additionally, another individual from the same village, identified as Younes Rahmani, was arrested in recent days by agents of the Intelligence Department without being presented with an arrest warrant.
Despite several days having passed since their arrests, no information regarding the fate or current condition of these two Kurdish individuals has been made available, and the efforts of their families to obtain answers have yielded no results.
