Security forces arrest five Kurds in Javanrud

Five Kurds from Javanrud, identified as Atila Abdi, Reza Kamrani, Sattar Babayi, Zakaria Firouzbakht, and Edris Abdollahi, were arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this city. They were subsequently transferred to the Naft Square Detention Center in Kermanshah (the Intelligence Department Detention Center). 

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, these five people were arrested in Javanrud by security forces and transferred to the detention facility known as Naft Square Detention Center in Kermanshah. Despite the passage of a week, there is still no information about their condition.

Sources indicate that these individuals were arrested violently and without an arrest warrant.
