A Kurdish man from Kamyaran, identified as Farzad Hamidi, has been arrested by the Islamic Republic of Iran's security forces in connection with the Kurdistan strike protesting the death sentences of Pakhshan Azizi and Varisheh Moradi. He was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, 36-year-old Farzad Hamidi was detained during a raid by intelligence forces at his family home in Kamyaran. The raid was carried out without presenting an arrest warrant.

Eyewitnesses state that approximately 20 intelligence officers stormed Hamidi's home, damaging household property and confiscating his mobile phone during the arrest.

Efforts by Hamidi's family to obtain information regarding his whereabouts and condition have thus far been unsuccessful.
