Whereabouts of Kurdish civil activist unknown following arrest by security forces

Jabbar Oyhangi, a 52-year-old civil activist from Sanandaj (Sine), has been arrested by security forces for 10 days. His whereabouts remain unclear.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, despite 10 days having passed since the arrest of Jabbar Oyhangi, a 52-year-old civil activist from Sanandaj, his family’s efforts to ascertain his whereabouts have been unsuccessful.

Jabbar Oyhangi was arrested on the morning of Sunday, January 12, 2025, by agents from the Intelligence Department at his workplace. The arrest was conducted without an arrest warrant.
