Kurdish father and son arrested by security forces in Piranshahr

Osman Peleh, a 57-year-old Kurdish man from Piranshahr, and his 26-year-old son, Farhad Peleh, were arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place early Tuesday morning, January 21, 2025, at their residence in Piranshahr.
The day before, seven other Kurdish individuals from Piranshahr, identified as Fardin Mahmoudi, Nemat Ahmadnejad, Murad Ostovar, Mohammad Sohrabi, Hiwa Shojaei, Anwar Ebrahimi, and Jegir Mojahidi, were also arrested.
As of the time of this report, no precise information is available regarding the reasons for the arrests, the charges brought against them, their current whereabouts, or their fate.
