Two prisoners executed in Qazvin and Neyshabur Prisons

The death sentences of two prisoners, Hossein Aliyari and Sadegh Nezakat, were carried out in the central prisons of Qazvin and Neyshabur. They had been previously sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on charges related to “drug offenses” and “premeditated murder.”
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Monday, February 17, 2025, Hossein Aliyari, a 31-year-old Turkish prisoner from Zanjan, was executed in Choubindar Prison, Qazvin.
Additionally, at dawn on Sunday, February 16, 2025, Sadegh Nezakat, a 33-year-old prisoner from Neyshabur, was executed in Neyshabur Central Prison, Razavi Khorasan Province.
Hossein Aliyari, who had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges, had been transferred to solitary confinement on Saturday in preparation for execution. Meanwhile, Sadegh Nezakat had been arrested four years ago on charges of premeditated murder and later sentenced to death by the judiciary.
As of the time of this report, no state-affiliated media, particularly those linked to the judiciary, have announced the executions of these two prisoners.
