Qasr-e Shirin: Loqman Vaisi arrested and his fate remains unknown

Loqman Vaisi, a Kurd from Qasr-e Shirin in Kermanshah (Kermashan) province and an adherent of the Yarsan faith has been arrested by intelligence forces in the city.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, February 15, 2025, Loqman Vaisi, 18, was arrested during a raid by intelligence forces on his family home in the Qasr-e Jadid neighborhood of Qasr-e Shirin. He was taken to an unknown location, and no information has been available about his fate for the past six days.

According to informed sources, intelligence forces arrested him without presenting an arrest warrant.

To date, no precise information has been made available regarding the reasons for his arrest, or the charges against him.
