Kurdish tailor Behrouz Farhang arrested by IRGC Intelligence Forces in Bukan

A Kurdish man from Bukan, identified as Behrouz Farhang, has been arrested by the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in this city and transferred to a security detention center in Urmia.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Behrouz Farhang, a resident of Bukan, was arrested without an arrest warrant following a raid by IRGC intelligence forces on his tailor shop, located on “Eastern Molavi” Street. He was subsequently transferred to an IRGC security detention center in Urmia.

A source close to Behrouz Farhang’s family stated that after searching his tailor shop, the IRGC intelligence forces also confiscated his mobile phone as well as that of his uncle, Hossein Farhang.

The source further added that 24 hours after his arrest, Behrouz Farhang made a brief phone call to his family, informing them that he had been transferred to one of Urmia’s security detention centers for interrogation.

So far, there is no precise information available regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his current condition.
