Death sentences of Alireza Seifi and Iman Salimi carried out in Shiraz and Borazjan prisons

The death sentences of two prisoners, Alireza Seifi and Iman Salimi, who had previously been convicted on charges related to "narcotics" and "premeditated murder" respectively, have been carried out in the central prisons of Shiraz and Borazjan.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, the death sentence of Iman Salimi, a 28-year-old Lor resident of Borazjan in Bushehr province, was carried out in the central prison of this city on charges of "premeditated murder."
On the same day, the death sentence of Alireza Seifi, a 27-year-old from Kazeroon who had been arrested about three years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary, was carried out in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.
On that same day, the death sentences of two other prisoners — Saud Mirzaei, an Afghan national, and Vahid Ashouri, a prisoner from Yazd — were also carried out in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. A separate report about their executions was previously published by Hengaw.
As of the time of this report, the executions of these two prisoners have not been announced in the state media, particularly those affiliated with the Iranian judiciary.
