Sajad Amkani and Mahan Heidari executed in Malayer and Ahvaz Prisons

Two Lor prisoners, Sajad Amkani and Mahan Heidari, who had previously been sentenced to death on charges of premeditated murder, were executed in the prisons of Malayer and Ahvaz. Since the beginning of April, at least 12 Lors have been executed in various prisons across Iran.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Monday, April 21, 2025, the death sentence of Sajad Amkani, a native of Malayer, who had been sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary for “premeditated murder,” was carried out in the Central Prison of Malayer, in Hamadan Province.
On the same day, Mahan Heidari, a resident of Masjed Soleiman in Khuzestan Province, was also executed on similar charges in Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz.
According to informed sources, Mahan Heidari had been imprisoned for the past three years on charges of “premeditated murder” and was sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
To date, the news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
Based on data documented by the Statistics and Documentation Center of Hengaw, at least 12 Lor prisoners have been executed in various Iranian prisons during the first 20 days of April.
