Four civil activists arrested in violent IRGC Intelligence raid in Saqqez

Four civil society activists—Hiwa Ahmadi, Mohammad Zabihi, Soran Soltani, and Rahim Ghodrati—were arrested in Saqqez following a violent raid carried out by agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2025. The activists were detained during coordinated operations targeting their private residences.
An informed source reported that IRGC intelligence agents forcibly entered the activists’ homes by scaling walls. Without presenting any warrants, the agents conducted the arrests with excessive force and in an atmosphere of intimidation.
No official information has been released regarding the grounds for the arrests, the detainees’ current whereabouts, or the specific charges brought against them.
