Hengaw – Tuesday, May 27, 2025
Four prisoners, including three Kurdish and one Turkish inmate—Rahim Amiri, Amir Ebrahimi, Farman Koshki, and Yashar Jafari—were executed at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. These men had previously been sentenced to death in separate cases on charges related to drug offenses and premediated murder.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions were carried out at dawn on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Amiri and Ebrahimi, both from Harsin in Kermanshah Province (Kermashan), were executed for drug-related charges. Amiri had been imprisoned for seven years, and Ebrahimi for six, before their sentences were carried out.
Simultaneously, two other inmates—Koshki from Kuhdasht and Jafari, a Turkish man residing in Tehran—were executed in the same facility. Both had been convicted of intentional murder in separate cases.
The state-run media, including those affiliated with Iran’s judiciary, had not reported the executions.
