Hengaw: Wednesday, May 7, 2025

The death sentences of two Lor prisoners, Ahmad Derikvand and Hamzeh Alizadeh, who had previously been convicted of premeditated murder, were carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison. Hengaw had earlier reported the execution of another prisoner in the same facility.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, May 1, 2025, the death sentence of Ahmad Derikvand and Hamzeh Alizadeh, both natives of Khorramabad, was carried out at Khorramabad Central Prison.

Ahmad Derikvand had been detained for four years, and Hamzeh Alizadeh for five years—each in separate cases—on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Previously, Hengaw had also reported the execution of another Lor prisoner, Hossein Shiravand, 28, also from Khorramabad. He had been arrested two years ago on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by the judiciary.

To date, none of these executions have been announced by state media or those affiliated with the judiciary.
