Three prisoners executed in Arak Central Prison

Death sentence of three prisoners carried out on drug-related charges at Arak Central Prison.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions were carried out at dawn on Monday, May 12, 2025, and involved Mohammad Abdi, a Lor man from Arak; Jalil Azizi, also from Arak; and Nemat Piri Zali from Delfan.

All three men had been sentenced to death by Iran’s judiciary following their arrests on drug charges.

As of Tuesday, state and judiciary-affiliated media had not reported the executions.
