Two Kurdish Brothers, Aziz and Omid Abdollahzadeh, Arrested in Bukan

Aziz Abdollahzadeh and Omid Abdollahzadeh, two Kurdish brothers from the city of Bukan in northwestern Iran, were arrested on Thursday, May 15, 2025, by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, intelligence agents raided the workplace of Aziz Abdollahzadeh, 33, and detained him without presenting any judicial warrant.
Sources further reported that several hours later, his older brother, Omid Abdollahzadeh, 35, was also arrested after being summoned to the local office of the Ministry of Intelligence.
The two brothers are originally from the village of Hasanabad, near Bukan. As of now, no further information is available regarding the charges against them, the reasons for their detention, or their current whereabouts.
