Execution of Tahmas Jahaniyan carried out in Nahavand Prison

The execution of Tahmas Jahaniyan, a Lor inmate from Nahavand, Hamadan Province, was carried out in the city's prison. He had been previously sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic's judiciary on charges of "premeditated murder."

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Jahaniyan had been arrested several years ago in connection with a murder case and was ultimately sentenced to capital punishment following judicial proceedings.

The state-run media, including those affiliated with Iran’s judiciary, have not reported the execution.
