Feyzollah Azarnosh, father of slain protester, held without charge for over 10 days in Yasuj

Ten days after the arrest of Lor man Feyzollah Azarnosh— father of Pedram Azarnosh, one of the victims of the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Women, Life, Freedom) movement—he remains in legal limbo at Yasuj Central Prison, located in the capital of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Feyzollah Azarnosh was arrested by security forces in Yasuj on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. After undergoing interrogation, he was transferred to Yasuj Central Prison on Monday, June 24.

Azarnosh is father of Pedram Azarnosh, who was killed on September 22, 2022, during the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi protests in Dehdasht, a town in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province. Pedram was attacked while defending a girl who was being beaten by security forces. He was assaulted with punches, kicks, batons, and pellet bullets, and was ultimately shot dead by a rooftop sniper.

No information has been released regarding the reasons for Feyzollah Azarnosh’s arrest, the charges brought against him, or his legal status.
