Three prisoners hanged in Malayer, Arak, and Zanjan Prisons

The death sentences of three prisoners — identified as Mostafa Hajibabaei (Kurdish), Murad Rezaei, and Ali Rezaei — were carried out in the central prisons of Malayer, Arak, and Zanjan. The executions followed convictions for drug-related offenses and premeditated murder.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Murad Rezaei, a prisoner from Kuhdasht, was executed at Zanjan Central Prison on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 after being convicted on drug-related charges.
Ali Rezaei, a resident of Khandab in Markazi Province and the father of a young daughter, was executed the same day at Arak Prison. He had been imprisoned for six years on murder charges.
On Monday, June 9, Mostafa Hajibabaei, a Kurdish prisoner convicted of murder, was executed at Malayer Central Prison.
None of the executions have been acknowledged by state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
