Hengaw – Wednesday, July 23, 2025

Armed conflict has once again erupted along the Baneh border, marking the second such incident in the past 48 hours. Two members of Iran's Low Enforcement Forces, identified as Sajad Adib and Ali Bodaq, were killed. Their deaths bring the total number of Iranian border force personnel killed in recent clashes to three.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Tuesday, July 22, 2025, both Adib and Bodaq — members of the Islamic Republic’s border regiment in Baneh — lost their lives during an exchange of fire. Sources informed Hengaw that at least two other members of the border regiment were also injured in the confrontation.

A day earlier, on the evening of Monday, July 21, Sina Satarvand, a 22-year-old border guard from Darreh Shahr, was also killed during a separate armed clash in the same region.

No Kurdish party has claimed responsibility for the incidents. Nevertheless, Iranian state media have released the names of the two most recently killed military personnel — without providing any information about the opposing side involved in the clashes.
