Iranian border forces kill kolbar Musa Zibapour near Baneh

Iranian border forces shot and killed Musa Zibapour, a Kurdish kolbar from Piranshahr and father of three, in the border highlands of Baneh.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Border Regiment forces stationed at the Hengezhal border area opened fire on a group of kolbars at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, killing Zibapour.

Hengaw sources reported that his body has so far not been handed over to his family.

Zibapour had previously been seriously wounded on July 14, 2021, when Iranian forces opened fire on a group of kolbars at the Mashkan border area in Piranshahr.
