Marivan – Mohammad Parvazeh arrested by Intelligence Forces

Mohammad Parvazeh, a Kurdish resident of Marivan, was violently arrested by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Intelligence Department and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Parvazeh—29 years old, a father of three, and a native of Ney village in the Marivan region—was detained by plainclothes intelligence agents. The arrest was carried out with excessive force and physical assault, and he was subsequently transferred to an unknown location.

Sources familiar with the incident report that the arrest took place at the Ney village junction, without an arrest warrant and with the use of violence by plainclothes officers.

Parvazeh, who lives with a physical disability, has previously been arrested and sentenced by the judiciary.

No detailed information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest, his current whereabouts, or the charges brought against him.
