Four prisoners executed in Ghezel Hesar, Isfahan, and Khorramabad Prisons

The death sentences of four prisoners—Saeed Kashani, Naser Nazari Tehrani, Reza Mirforoughi, and Hamzeh Moradian—were carried out in separate prisons across Iran. They had previously been sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on charges related to murder and drug offenses in separate cases. 

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Sunday, July 27, 2025, Saeed Kashani and Naser Nazari Tehrani were executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. Both men had been convicted of murder. 

On the same day, the execution of Reza Mirforoughi, a prisoner from Isfahan who was also convicted of murder, was carried out in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd). 

Additionally, Hamzeh Moradian, a Lor prisoner from Khorramabad, was executed in Khorramabad Central Prison. Moradian had been imprisoned for the past eight years on murder charges. He was transferred to solitary confinement the day before his execution. 

The judiciray and state-affiliated media outlets have not publicly announced the executions.
