Sadegh Mansouri arrested in Mashhad, no news after 10 days

Sadegh Mansouri, a member of the Khorasan Calligraphers Association, was arrested ten days ago by security forces of the Islamic Republic at his workplace in Mashhad. Since then, no information has been available regarding his fate or whereabouts.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mansouri was detained on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, during a class session he was conducting at the association’s premises.

The Coordinating Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations reported that both Mansouri and his wife, Zahra Akbari—a teacher in Mashhad—had been serving court-issued sentences under electronic monitoring at the time of his arrest.

Despite repeated efforts by his family over the past ten days, authorities have failed to provide any information about his condition or place of detention.

The charges brought against Mansouri and details of his situation remain unknown.
