The death sentences of seven prisoners, previously convicted on charges of “premeditated murder” and “drug-related offenses,” have been carried out in multiple detention facilities across Iran.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohsen Teymouri, a 40-year-old man from Rasht, was executed at dawn on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Lakan Detention Facility. Sources familiar with the case stated that he had been arrested approximately two years earlier on drug-related charges and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a separate case, Amirreza Sarlak, 27, from Dorud in Lorestan province, was executed at dawn on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Dorud Detention Facility. He had been detained three years earlier on charges of premeditated murder and subsequently sentenced to death.

Three additional prisoners, Ebrahim Bazvand, approximately 35, from Khorramabad; Arman Masjedi, 44, from Tabriz and the father of two; and Hashem Memari, 32, from Azarshahr, were executed at dawn on Friday, January 3, 2026, at Tabriz Central Detention Facility. Bazvand had been arrested five years earlier on charges of premeditated murder following a physical altercation. Masjedi was detained three years earlier in connection with a murder case reportedly linked to a dispute over a vehicle transaction, while Memari was arrested around the same time on charges related to a fatal street altercation. All three were later sentenced to death.

As part of the continuing wave of executions, Mokhtar Farshi, 27, from Shiraz, and Hossein Kazemzadeh, 24, from Isfahan, were executed at dawn on Wednesday, December 30, 2025, at Shiraz Central Detention Facility, also known as Adelabad.
