Two prisoners, including Afghan national, executed in Qazvin Central Prison

Hengaw– Saturday, July 19, 2025 

Two prisoners—Molan Abdolazizkhani, an Afghan national, and Vahab Heydari, a Lor man from Khorramabad— were executed in Qazvin Central Prison (Chubin Dar Prison). Both were sentenced to death in separate cases on drug-related charges. 

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions were carried out at dawn on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. 

Abdolazizkhani, 31, had been detained two years ago, while Heydari, 29, had been in custody for three years. Both were convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary. 

Iranian state media and judiciary-affiliated outlets have not published any official announcements regarding the executions.
