Kurdish cultural activist Ehsan Rostami arrested in Tehran

Ehsan Rostami, a Kurdish cultural activist from Harsin in Kermanshah Province (Kermashan), was arrested by Iranian security forces in Tehran and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Rostami, 38, was detained at his private residence in Tehran on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, by security forces.

Rostami is known for his work in the fields of publishing and literary activities.
