Kurdish man Ramin Rostami arrested by security forces in Tehran

Iranian security forces arrested Ramin Rostami, a Kurdish man from Harsin in Kermanshah (Kermashan) Province, in Tehran and transferred him to an undisclosed location. His cousin, Ehsan Rostami, was also detained at the same time.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, security forces arrested Ramin Rostami on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at his private residence in Tehran.
Sources stated that the arrest was carried out without the presentation of an arrest warrant.
On the same day, security forces also arrested his cousin, cultural activist Ehsan Rostami, at his home in Tehran.
No information has been made available regarding the reasons for the arrests, the charges filed against them, their place of detention, or their current condition.
