IRGC holds three people in incommunicado detention in Tehran

Marjan Ardeshirzadeh, Nima Mahdizadegan, and Hassan Tozandeh Jani were arrested last week by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Their fate and whereabouts remain unknown.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the three were detained in Tehran six days ago, and their condition and place of detention are still unclear.

Efforts by their families and relatives to obtain information about their situation have been unsuccessful, raising concern for their safety.

Ardeshirzadeh, Mahdizadegan, and Tozandeh Jani were arrested on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Tehran and transferred to an undisclosed location.
