Six prisoners executed in multiple prisons across Iran

Iranian authorities have carried out the executions of six prisoners in Dezful, Zahedan, Karaj Central, and Isfahan prisons. The individuals were identified as Taleb Tavakoli, Masoud Ghanbarzehi, Dariush Bahrami, Mohammad Bikar, Taher Rasoulpour, and Moslem Salehkhani, all of whom had been convicted in separate cases on charges of premeditated murder or drug-related offenses.
According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, September 7, 2025, Taleb Tavakoli, 37, an Arab prisoner from Dezful in Khuzestan Province, was executed in Dezful Central Prison. He had been arrested four years earlier on charges of murder.
On the same day, Masoud Ghanbarzehi, 38, a Baloch prisoner from the Gourband area of Zahedan, was executed in Zahedan Central Prison. He had been arrested a decade ago on charges of murdering nine individuals and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
Also on Sunday, the execution of Dariush Bahrami, a Kurdish prisoner from the village of Kol Badam in Tarhan, Kuhdasht, and father of two, was carried out in Karaj Central Prison. He had been arrested on drug-related charges.
Separately, at dawn on Saturday, September 6, 2025, three additional executions were carried out in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan. Those executed were Taher Rasoulpour, 28, a Gilak prisoner from Bandar Anzali; Mohammad Bikar, 34, from Kashan; and Moslem Salehkhani, 41, from Isfahan. Bikar had been arrested five years earlier on charges of murder, while Rasoulpour and Salehkhani had been convicted on drug-related charges.
None of the six executions have been announced by Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
