Iranian authorities execute Hojjat Goudarzi at Aligudarz Central Prison

Iranian authorities have executed Hojjat Goudarzi, a Lor prisoner convicted of "premeditated murder", at Aligudarz Central Prison in Lorestan Province.

Information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights shows that the execution was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, inside Aligudarz Central Prison. Goudarzi, a resident of Aligudarz, had been arrested on charges of "premeditated murder" and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

State media, including judiciary-affiliated outlets, had not announced the execution.

According to data recorded by the Statistics and Documentation Center of Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at least 10 Lor prisoners have been executed in prisons across Iran since the beginning of September.
