Hengaw – Monday, October 20, 2025
Iranian security forces have arrested at least seven Baha’i adherents and raided the homes of nine followers of the Baha’i faith in coordinated operations across several cities.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, October 20, 2025, security forces arrested Fahim Aghahi, Matin Aghahi, and Hengameh Sharifi in Tehran, Negar Misaghian and Shakib Farzan in Shiraz, Armaghan Enayati in Semnan, and Adib Rahmani in Sari.
In addition to the arrests, security forces raided the homes of all seven detainees, as well as the residences of Aruna Kowsari in Tehran and Saman Eslami in Zahedan, both followers of the Baha’i faith.
Personal belongings, electronic devices, religious books, and other property were confiscated during the raids.
Following their arrest, Negar Misaghian and Shakib Farzan were transferred to the Shiraz Intelligence Department’s detention center, known as “Plaq 100.” The whereabouts and conditions of the other detainees remain unknown.
Hengaw has learned that both Misaghian and Farzan had previously faced prosecution for their religious activities, while Enayati and Rahmani were earlier barred from pursuing higher education due to their Baha’i faith.
