Baha’i woman Sonia Toudi’i arrested in Babol

Sonia Toudi’i, a Baha’i resident of Babol in Mazandaran Province, has been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Toudi’i was detained at her home in Babol on Sunday, October 12, 2025.

During the arrest, security forces searched her residence and confiscated several personal belongings.

There is still no confirmed information regarding the reasons for the arrest, the charges brought against her, or her current place of detention.

In May 2025, security forces had also conducted a full search of Toudi’i’s home.
