Baha’i woman Jinos Mohammadnezhad arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence in Urmia

Jinos Mohammadnezhad, a Baha’i resident of Urmia, was arrested by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammadnezhad was arrested at her home on Hasht-Shahrivar Street in Urmia on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Sources informed Hengaw that security forces simultaneously searched her residence and that of her elderly parents, which is located nearby, seizing several personal items and family documents.

No accurate information is currently available regarding the reasons for her arrest, the charges against her, or her place of detention.
