Farzad Gelleban forcibly arrested by Iranian Intelligence in Urmia

Agents of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence have forcibly arrested Farzad (Najm al-Din) Gelleban, a Kurdish man from Urmia, in an intimidation operation.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrest took place on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Gelleban is originally from Karimabad village in the Targor (Targavar) region of Urmia and currently resides in Valandeh Sofla village.
Following his arrest, Ministry of Intelligence agents raided his home and confiscated several personal belongings.
Gelleban was subsequently transferred to a Ministry of Intelligence detention center in Urmia, and his current condition remains unknown.
No information has been provided regarding the reasons for his arrest or any charges against him.
