Husband kills wife and father-in-law in Mahabad

A man in Mahabad has fatally shot his wife and father-in-law, identified as Nammam Farhoush and Khaled Farhoush, in what sources describe as a family dispute.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, a man identified as Jalal Hosseini used a firearm to kill his 42-year-old wife, Nammam Farhoush, and her father, Khaled Farhoush, on the evening of Sunday, November 16, 2025, in the Zaminhaye Shahrdari neighborhood of Mahabad.

Sources familiar with the case reported that the perpetrator had been experiencing severe marital conflict, and the couple’s divorce case was undergoing judicial review.

After committing the crime, Hosseini fled the scene and has not yet been arrested.
