Suspended student Milan Khajeh’i arrested in Shiraz, her fate unknown

Milan (Fatemeh) Khajeh’i, a suspended student from Zahedan University, has been arrested by Iranian security forces in Shiraz. Khajeh’i had previously been sentenced to prison.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, since her arrest, no information has been provided regarding her whereabouts.
Khajeh’i, 30, is a native of Shiraz and was a history student at Zahedan University.

She had earlier been sentenced by Branch 2 of the Zahedan Revolutionary Court to one year in prison on charges of “distributing anti-government leaflets, writing slogans at the university, and administering a Telegram channel.”
This sentence was later reduced to five months on appeal.

The ruling was based on what the Revolutionary Court described as “classified documents from the Zahedan Intelligence Office.”

No details have been made available regarding the reasons for her recent arrest or any charges brought against her.
