Seyed Rahman Hosseini and Ahmad Mam-Sharifi sentenced to more than six years in total

The Iranian judiciary has sentenced Seyed Rahman Hosseini and Ahmad Mam-Sharifi, two Kurdish residents of Piranshahr, to a combined six years and six months in prison. Both men were arrested during the period of heightened conflict between Iran and Israel.
Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the sentencing was issued on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Hosseini and Mam-Sharifi, both from Silveh village in Piranshahr, were convicted by the city’s Revolutionary Court on charges of “propaganda against the state.” Hosseini received a three and a half year prison term, while Mam-Sharifi was sentenced to three years.
Hosseini and Mam-Sharifi were arrested at their homes on June 21, 2025, by security forces. They remained in detention until their sentences were issued.
According to an informed source, both men were denied access to legal counsel and family visits throughout their detention.
