Kurdish cleric mamosta Reffat Saeedi Arrested by Iranian intelligence agents

Mamosta Reffat Saeedi, a Kurdish religious activist from Javanrud in Kermanshah Province, has been arrested by agents of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Saeedi was detained in Javanrud on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. After three days, his family’s efforts to obtain information about his fate have been unsuccessful.

A source close to the family told Hengaw that following his arrest, Saeedi was transferred from Javanrud to a Ministry of Intelligence detention facility in Kermanshah.

No information has been provided regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges against him.
