Ten days on, no information on the fate of Mustafa Qawsi

Mustafa Qawsi, a Kurdish man from Baneh, was detained by Iranian security forces, and ten days later his fate and condition remain unknown.

Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Qawsi, 29, married and the father of a one-year-old child, was arrested while travelling on the Piranshahr–Mahabad road on Thursday, November 12, 2025. He was then transferred to an undisclosed location, and all attempts by his family to obtain information have been unsuccessful. Qawsi is from the village of Sawan in Baneh.

No details have emerged regarding the reasons for his detention, possible charges, or his current whereabouts.
