Thirteen prisoners executed as Iran’s execution wave continues

Thirteen prisoners — Rahman Moloudi, Mirza Janalizadeh, Amir Nosrat Piryan, Mohammad Hossein Akbari, Amir Moradi, Hamidreza Pirhadi, Yahya Karami, Akbar Faraji, Sajad Habibi, Mohammadreza Basharat, Moslem Naderi, Elyas Rahimpour, and Ali Shabani — were executed in the prisons of Arak, Bam, Dezful, Ahvaz, Sari, Borujerd, Isfahan, Qazvin, and Qom following convictions on charges of “murder” and “drug-related offences.”

Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Janalizadeh was executed at dawn on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Arak Central Prison after being convicted on “drug-related charges.”

On the same day, Piryan and Moloudi were executed in Bam Prison in Kerman Province and in a prison in Ahvaz. Moloudi had been detained for six years before his execution.

Akbari, a Lor prisoner, was executed in Dezful Prison in Khuzestan Province following a conviction for “murder.”

Moradi was executed at dawn on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Sari Central Prison after being convicted of “murder.”

Pirhadi, a 37-year-old Lor prisoner, was executed on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in Borujerd Prison in Lorestan Province. He had been arrested three years earlier on a charge of “murder” related to an incident inside his shop.

Karami and Faraji were executed at dawn on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison after convictions on “drug-related offences.”

Habibi, from Fardis in Karaj, and Basharat, a 27-year-old from Tehran, were executed at dawn on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Qazvin Central Prison (Choubindar). Habibi had been detained for nearly four years on a charge of “murder” following a street altercation, while Basharat had been held for six years on a similar charge.

Naderi was executed at dawn on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Isfahan Central Prison after being convicted on “drug-related charges.”

Rahimpour, 29, from Varamin, and Shabani, 25, from Eslamshahr, were executed on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Qom Central Prison. Rahimpour had been detained for four years and Shabani for two years, both on charges of “murder” in separate cases.

State media, including outlets affiliated with Iran’s Judiciary, have not reported any of these executions.
