Twelve days on, no news on the fate of detainee Mohammad Rashidzadeh

Mohammad Rashidzadeh, a Kurdish man from Baneh, has been detained for the past twelve days after being arrested by Iranian security forces and transferred to the Urmia Intelligence Detention Center. Since the arrest, his family has received no information about his fate or condition.

Information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights indicates that, despite repeated inquiries by Rashidzadeh’s family, authorities have not provided any details regarding his situation. Twelve days after the arrest, his legal status and current condition remain completely unclear.

Rashidzadeh was detained together with Mostafa Qawsi while traveling on the Piranshahr–Mahabad road on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Both men were arrested by Iranian security forces and subsequently taken to the Urmia Intelligence Detention Center.

No information has been provided regarding the reasons for Rashidzadeh’s detention, any charges brought against him, or his current condition.
