Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence arrests Khaled Elahi in Mahabad

Khaled Elahi, a Kurdish man from Mahabad, has been arrested by agents of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrest took place on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Arrested at the Azadi Crossroads in Mahabad, Elahi subsequently was transferred to an undisclosed location.

No information has been made available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges against him.
