Intelligence Ministry forces arrest at least three Kurds in Mahabad

Agents of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence have arrested at least three Kurdish residents of Mahabad, with additional detentions reported.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Hengaw has so far confirmed the identities of three detainees: Hemin Eivor, Peshwa Armon, and Saeed Fathinejad.

Sources told Hengaw that others were also arrested in Mahabad at the same time, and efforts to verify their identities are ongoing.

The three known detainees were transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence detention center in Mahabad following their arrest.

No information has been made available regarding the reasons for their arrests or the charges brought against them.
